- Shoyu - Mainly a soy sauce based soup
- Shio - Usually light, using mainly salt to get the... saltiness.
- Tonkotsu - Creamy smooth pork soup
- Miso - Miso paste is blended into the soup
Shoyu
A highly hyped and critically acclaimed ramen shop, Tsuta brings you French-styled ramen with its truffle-infused broth. It's michelin star in Sugamo, Tokyo makes lines at Tsuta ludicrous, so be prepared to wait an hour or more during peak periods.
Machida Shoten
Not exactly shoyu but more of tonkotsu, this tonkotsu-shoyu bowl will blow your mind away.
Yes, be prepared for some amazing stuff.
Shio
Simple. creamy tonkotsu-shio that will keep you coming back.
Review to be up soon.
You're gonna see this shop four times.
Yes, four times, because it's just too good.
The tonkotsu-shio at Machida Shoten is rich and sharp, with a more pronounced flavor than its shoyu counterpart, but in turn lacks depth.
Nonetheless, an amazing bowl.
Tonkotsu
Yep, here it is again. Definitely the best tonkotsu bowl in SG.
Trust me, you won't regret it. Rich, smooth, savoury bowl of wonderful goodness.
Keisuke is probably the most famous (and biggest) ramen chain in Singapore, and their signature tonkotsu ramen is no scam.
Wonderfully rich and savoury, it's a safe bet if you're not sure where to have a meal.
Hakata Ikkousha Ramen
Ikkousha serves traditional no-fuss Tonkotsu Ramen, one you would return again and again.
Silky smooth, rich and flavourful broth with tender slices of chashu just does it everytime.

Miso
Yes, Machida Shoten also serves wonderful spicy miso ramen.
A must try for spicy food lovers and non-spicy food lovers alike.
*Author's note - Maybe it's just me but nearly all the miso ramen I've tried in Singapore are meh. Taste is subjective anyways don't take it to heart.
